A Wide Range Of Genres and Specialist Programmes
With a strong technique you can sing whatever genre you choose - jazz, music theatre, classical, opera, rock, pop, singer/songwriter - adding particular techniques and stylistic choices where suitable or required.
I specialise in preparation for HSC music and entry into tertiary vocal courses and competitions. I am a registered teacher for AMEB practical examinations (Singing for Leisure, Classical, Contemporary voice, and Music Theatre) and theory examinations (Musicianship, Music Craft and Theory).
My own “Music Mastery For Singers” programme is designed for singers who require a no-nonsense, practical understanding of music and guides you through how to study your repertoire and broaden your musical experience.
My students range from very young voices ( even pre-schoolers!) to serious professionals and recreational students of all ages. Being a seasoned professional performer means I can offer my serious students practical industry based advice and guidance with auditions and career choices. I have developed a special programme for singers under 10 years of age, incorporating educational but enjoyable age-appropriate repertoire, musical knowledge and performance confidence.
My specialist jazz programme encompasses scat, improv and genre specific stylisms, using exercises designed to build skills specific to jazz And a thorough knowledge of the jazz/blues standard repertoire.
